THE PUBLISHED RECORD

What you can know now.

Hakuna Matata is a Leopard 44.3 sailing catamaran custom-built to make large family and mixed-group holidays work beautifully. Accommodating up to eleven guests, she combines three generous double cabins with three additional single bunks and a saloon that converts to another double. The award-winning Leopard layout features both rear and forward cockpits. An internal door connects the saloon directly to the foredeck, creating excellent airflow and an extra outdoor lounge for relaxing away from the main dining area. Aft, a large table and additional bench bring the whole crew together for meals and sunset conversation. Three bathrooms support the flexible sleeping plan, while the galley-up arrangement includes extensive refrigeration, freezer, three-burner stove, oven, microwave and barbecue. The volume of food storage is especially valuable for larger crews enjoying a longer island escape. Hakuna Matata is also a nimble and capable sailing boat. Her full-batten mainsail, roller-furling headsail, electric halyard winch and cockpit-led lines support easy short-handed sailing. The raised helm provides clear visibility, while twin diesel engines offer dependable performance under power. A swim ladder, cockpit shower, snorkelling gear and rigid inflatable tender connect each anchorage with beaches and coral-filled water. Underwater blue lights, Bluetooth audio, television and optional Starlink add comfort after the day’s adventures. Stable, sociable and remarkably flexible, Hakuna Matata is made for crews with children, couples and friends who want everyone comfortably included in the same unforgettable Whitsundays holiday.
